My figurative pool paintings explore the interplay between representational and abstract elements creating a visual lexicon communicated through color and form. My paintings evoke moments of perceived inner consciousness to emote ephemeral states of being.

"Ms. Waters’ work is a fantastic combination of reality and abstraction. Her layered, and sometimes translucent, paintings investigate what we see and what we perceive. In each composition there is an intricate balance of color composition and a variety of form. We are fortunate to have this exhibition in its perfect season – summer.” – Barbara Applegate, director of the Steinberg Museum of Art on Waters' 2013 solo exhibition
